Our duty is to be the first teams out on reconnaissance searches and containment of search areas. We have many other roles also. We drive out search areas in our regular vehicles that are street legal and equipped with the proper gear for search and survival.

Most of our team has a 4x4 vehicle and are able to assist with other duties as well. We have been deployed to assist with various search dog units, ATV units, horse units, ground teams and other mobile units.

We have the ability to be used as transport for various teams of people or dogs. We can be used for communications relays and also serve as support and communication for our ATV and Mountain Bike unit. The Mobile Team is the foundation of SPSMSAR. All units and teams are considered as part of the Mobile Team and can serve as a functioning member until there specific skills and equipment are required by Incident Command.

Being a member of the Mobile Team is both fun and rewarding. It requires little more than some equipment, it requires some special training that we provide, a dependable vehicle and the desire to help others in need.
